Safeen introduces UAE Pakistan Gulf (UPG) service

Safeen Feeders has launched a new UAE Pakistan Gulf (UPG) service that connect Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Bahrain, Karachi, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi from 10 September 2023. The service turns in 14 days and deploys the 2,542 teu SAFEEN PRIME and SAFEEN PRIZE.

Hapag-Lloyd and Feedertech will update their jointly operated India-Gulf 1 (IG1)/Arabian Gulf-India (AGIS) service with a new rotation calling at Jebel Ali, Karachi, Kandla, Nhava Sheva, Jebel Ali, Dammam, Shuaiba, Umm Qasr, Jebel Ali. The revised rotation will replace the call at Mundra with new calls at Nhava Sheva and Kandla. Maersk and X-Press Feeders will jointly launch a new Safina/China-Jebel Ali Express (CJX) service that connects Ningbo, Shanghai, Shekou, Tanjung Pelepas, Port Klang, Jebel Ali, Colombo, Singapore from 19 September 2023. Wan Hai and Feedertech/Unifeeder have teamed up to launch a new India-Middle East Service (IM1/IMS) that will call at Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Jebel Ali, Port Qasim, Mundra. The service will turn in 2 weeks and deploys the 1,858 teu BIG BREEZY from Wan Hai that will join the service on 1 August 2023 and the 1,613 teu SSL MUMBAI from Feedertech that joins on 8 August 2023. Safeen upgrades UAE-India-Gulf UIG service

Safeen Feeders have upgraded its UAE-India-Gulf (UIG) service with the introduction of 3,500 teu ships to the service from July 2023 with the port rotation streamlined to call at Abu Dhabi, Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Abu Dhabi, Umm Qasr, Dammam, Abu Dhabi. PIL launch IR2 service to Yemen

PIL will launch a new Intra-Red Sea Feeder 2 (IR2) service connecting Djibouti, Hodeidah, Djibouti from 29 June 2023 using the 938 teu KOTA RAHMAT. The service complement the Intra-Red Sea Feeder 3 (IR3) service that calls at Djibout, Aden, Djibouti using the 1,802 KOTA HASRAT as part of PIL's moves to broaden its presence in Yemen.

Container Volumes Recover Slightly in May, Led by India and Singapore

Container volumes recovered slightly in May, with flash estimates showing a 1.4% month-on-month increase over April although it is still 1.6% lower compared to the same month last year. Year to date growth remains negative at -1.8% over the first 5 months of the year. The Indian sub-continent was one of the key bright spots with May volumes up 9.8% yoy. The 2 main Indian ports of Mundra and Nhava Sheva both recorded healthy volumes with YTD volume growth reaching 8.0% and 6.3% respectively. S

Asyad Line has introduced a new Red Sea Express (REX) service connnecting Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Salalah, Jeddah, Sokhna, Nhava Sheva. The service was launched on 1 May 2023 with the newly chartered 2,782 teu GREGOS and the IRENES RULE.
