CU Lines and GT Lines launch new GCS/KCX1 service from China to Khor Fakkan

CU Lines and GT Lines will jointly launch a new China Gulf Service (GCS)/Khor Fakkan China Express (KCX1) service calling at Shanghai, Nansha, Khor Fakkan, Shanghai. The service will operate on a fortnightly basis, turning in 42 days using 3 ships of 1,200 teu to 1,500 teu starting from 27 April 2026 with the 1,354 teu XING DONG 88 operated by CU Lines and 1,510 teu newbuilding NAN HAI ZHI YUAN operated by GT Lines, with a 3rd ship that is still to be named.

CU Lines has added a new China Gulf Express (CGX) service using tonnage of up to 10,000 teu, including several ships taken over from SeaLead in April 2026. Greta Shipping has launched a new China-Gulf Express 1 (CGX1) service connecting Qingdao, Ningbo, Jebel Ali, Qingdao from 24 December 2025. CMA CGM adds JMX2 feeder service in the Middle East Gulf

CMA CGM will add a new JMX2 service connecting Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Shuaiba, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi from 19 November 2025. The service is branded as the Jebel Ali Middle East Express 2 (JMX2) even though it does not call at Jebel Ali but calls at the Khalifa port in Abu Dhabi. Premier Alliance splits MS2 pendulum service into new MD2 and GS2 as more China built ships are phased out from the US

Premier Alliance carriers (HMM, ONE and Yang Ming) will split its current Mediterranean Pacific South 2 (MS2) into 2 separate services covering the Asia-Med Mediterranean 2 (MD2) service and the Middle East Gulf-US Gulf Pacific South 2 (GS2) service.
