HMM launch PSX after THE Alliance drops PS8

HMM has launched a standalone PSX service that connects Shanghai, Kwangyang, Busan, Long Beach, Oakland, Busan, Kwangyang, Incheon, Shanghai using 6 ships of 10,000 teu that are shifted from the former PS8 service that was operated as part of THE Alliance's transpacific network. The PSX retakes the same port rotation and ships as the PS8, with ONE taking slots from HMM with an allocation of 2,977 teu per voyage. Hapag-Lloyd and Yang Ming will not participate on the PSX. MSC extends Panda service to Busan

MSC will extend the China-Australia Panda service to Busan in order to provide a direct connection between Australia and South Korea with transhipment options to Japan. CMA CGM and MSC add Ennore call on Australia Express/NEMO Service

CMA CGM and MSC will add a new call at Ennore on the westbound leg of their jointly North Europe Med Oceania (NEMO)/Australia Express (AEX) service from 9 June 2023. Sinotrans/SITC extend CHS/CJV5 to Busan

Sinotrans and SITC have extended their jointly operated China Haiphong Service (CHS/CJV5) with a northbound extension to Busan from 3 April 2023. The extended CHS/CJV5 service calls at Busan, Ningbo, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Haiphong, Danang, Hong Kong, Ningbo, Shanghai, Busan on a 3 week rotation using the 1,510 teu REN JIAN 6 and 1,774 teu INFERRO from Sinotrans and the 1,808 teu SITC SHANDONG from SITC.

Oceanus Line launch Florida Gulf Express (FGX)

Oceanus Line has launched a new Florida Gulf Express (FGX) service that connects Port Manatee, Freeport (Texas), Veracruz, Cartagena, Port Manatee on a fortnightly basis with the 1,740 teu X-PRESS COTOPAXI. The service started on 18 March 2023 at Cartagena, with an ad hoc call at Tuxpan enroute to Port Manatee on its inaugural voyage. Oceanus Line is based in Miami, Florida and was established in October 2022.

e-Shipping launch Korea Vladivostok Express (KVE) service

e-Shipping, a new carrier based in Turkey with backing from Russian interests, has launched the Korea Vladivostok Express (KVE) service that connects South Korea and China with the Russian Far Eastern port of Vladivostok. The KVE will deploy 3 ships of 700-1,700 teu that will call variously at Vladivostok, Busan, Xingang, Dalian, Rizhao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen and Shekou. CMA CGM and Unifeeder to launch Greece-Turkey-Georgia service

CMA CGM and Unifeeder/Unimed will launch a new Black Sea service that will call at Piraeus, Ambarli, Poti, Piraeus starting from 21 April 2023. The service is branded as the Caucasus Georgia Express by CMA CGM and Greece-Turkey-Georgia service by Unifeeder/Unimed, and will deploy the 1,096 teu CMA CGM BLOSSOM and the 1,145 teu SC PHOENIX on a 14 day rotation.

Tangshan Hede launch China Vietnam Thailand service

Tangshan Hede Shipping has launched a new China-Vietnam-Thailand 1 (CVT1) service that will provide the first direct connection between its home port of Tangshan with Vietnam and Thailand via transhipment at Nansha. The CVT1 service connects Nansha, Ho Chi Minh City, Laem Chabang, Nansha. The service started on 7 April 2023 with the 1,096 teu HS HONG KONG that has joined Hede Shipping on a 6 to 8 months charter at $13,000 per day.
