Hapag-Lloyd joins Wan Hai on FE-USEC 'AA7' service

Hapag-Lloyd will join Wan Hai as a vessel operator on the new FE-US East Coast 'AA7' service that will replace the existing service that was operated solely by Wan Hai starting from 26 April 2023. The new AA7  service will deploy 12 ships of 4,500 to 13,500 teu, with 4 ships from Hapag-Lloyd and 8 ships from Wan Hai. The smaller ships of 4,500 to 6,500 teu that Wan Hai currently operates will be gradually replaced over 2023 with larger ships of 7,500 to 13,500 teu including the new Wan Hai A-cl

NPDL launched new ANZPAC

Neptune Pacific has launched Australia New Zealand Pacific (ANZPAC) service, a new Pacific service, that calls Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Suva, Lautoka, Apia, Tauranga, Sydney on fortnightly basis with 3 ships. 1730 teu CAPITAINE TASMAN has phased in on 30 April at Sydney while 1730 teu CAPITAINE DAMPIER and 1713 teu CAPITAINE TUPAIA will phase in at Sydney on 14 May and 28 May respectively. CMA CGM will take slot on this service.

Arkas and Evergreen are launching a new North Africa Express (NAX) that will call Piraeus, Algiers, Valencia, Casablanca, Piraeus on 21-day round trip. 1,164 teu UNI-ASSURE and 1,445 teu CORELLI will phase in at Piraeus on 14 May and 19 May respectively. FESCO revives Baltorient Line service connecting China and St Petersburg

FESCO has revived its former FESCO Baltorient Line (FBOL) brand for a new direct service connecting China and St Petersburg that operates on a monthly basis. The FBOL will connect Rizhao, Lianyungang, Ningbo, Shanghai, Yantian, Mundra, St Petersburg, Rizhao on a 80-88 day rotation using 3 ships of 2,400-3,000 teu with inducement calls on the backhaul leg from St Petersburg that are currently scheduled to call at Xingang (on 1 June 2023), Durban (on 2 July 2023) and Mundra (on 18 July 2023). FESCO has upgraded its FESCO China Express (FCXP) service with the addition of new port calls at Nansha and Dalian. Maersk, KMTC, SITC and TS Lines are teaming up to launch a new NEA-SEA service that is branded respectively as the IA-68, CMV, FEM3 and CMV. The new service will call at Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Port Klang, Penang, Ho Chi Minh City, Shekou, Incheon, Qingdao and is scheduled to start on 9 May 2023, using 4 ships of 2,400-2,500 teu on a 28-days round trip. Containerships Launches BLX

Containerships, the intra-Europe short sea subsidiary of CMA CGM, is launching a new Baltic Express (BLX) service that will call at Bremerhaven, Hamburg, Gdansk, Klaipeda, Riga, Norrkoping, Bremerhaven as an expansion of the Poland Express (PLX). The two vessels, the 1,404 teu HEINRICH EHLER and 1,638 teu BALTIC TERN, currently deployed in th PLX will be redeployed on the BLX. HEINRICH EHLER will start BLX on 1 May 2023 at Bremerhaven followed a week later by BALTIC TERN.
