CMA CGM and Tarros will renew their current cooperation on the Mediterranean Pendulum Service (MPS)/Great Pendulum Service (GPS) in February 2025 following the departure of Arkas from their current joint service. ONE will launch a new Polish Shuttle (PLS) service connecting Hamburg, Rotterdam, Gdynia, Gdansk, Hamburg from 2 March 2025. The service will turn in 10-11 days, running 2 cycles every 3 weeks using the 1,118 teu BALLATA.
Hai An will launch a new Vietnam China Express (VCX) service connecting Ho Chi Minh City, Haiphong, Nansha, Hong Kong, Haiphong, Ho Chi Minh City from 16 April 2025. The service will turn in 14 days and will deploy the 1,781 teu HAIAN ALFA and HAIAN BETA, with ONE taking slots on the service.
Interasia Lines (IAL), TS Lines (TSL) and Yang Ming (YM) will launch a new Japan-Taiwan-South China-Vietnam service calling at Osaka, Kobe, Keelung, Kaohsiung, Nansha, Shekou, Haiphong, Hong Kong, Shekou, Osaka from 17 March 2025. The service will be branded as the Japan-Haiphong Service (JHS) by IAL, Japan-Taiwan-Hong Kong 3 (JTK3) by TSL and Japan Kansai Express (JKX) by Yang Ming, turning in 3 weeks using the 1,708 teu INTERASIA FORWARD, 1,909 teu TS GUANGZHOU and 1,803 teu YM INAUGURATION.
Emirates Shipping Line (ESL) has added an India-East Mediterranean Express (IEX) service connecting Mundra, Jeddah, Alexandria, Mersin, Iskenderun, Alexandria, Jeddah, Mundra. The service was launched on 18 November 2024 at Mundra and deploys the 1,781 teu ASL TAIPEI and ASL HONG KONG on a 28 day rotation with a fortnightly service frequency.
Wallenius SOL has added a new North Sea LoLo service connecting Rotterdam, Antwerp, Kokkola, Oulu, Tornio, Pitea, Rotterdam on a fortnightly frequency using the newly chartered 857 teu PEYTON LYNN C. The service started on 4 January 2025 at Antwerp. CMA CGM will launch a new Egypt Greece Algeria Line (EGAL) calling at Alexandria, Piraeus, Thessaloniki, Malta, Annaba, Alexandria from February 2025. The EGAL will turn in 28 days and will deploy 4 ships of 1,300-1,400 teu. Originally scheduled to start on 12 February 2025, the first sailing has been delayed to 19 February 2025 with the 1,338 teu ATLANTIC SILVER at Alexandria.
SeaLead has launched a new Red Sea-India (RESIN) service calling at Jeddah, Sokhna, Nhava Sheva, Jeddah from 23 January 2025. The service turns in 3 weeks and will deploy 3 ships of 1,600-2,000 teu starting with the 1,660 teu GHIBLI at Jeddah on 23 January 2025.
Unimed has introduced a new Turkey-Bulgaria feeder service calling at Ambarli, Burgas, Varna, Izmit, Ambarli from 23 January 2025. The service will turn in 7 days on a weekly frequency using the 679 teu NINA A with the call at Izmit (Safiport Derince) omitted for the first 6 rotations and will start from 5 March 2025. CMA CGM and Zim will take slots on this service that is branded as the Intra Aegean Express (IAX1) and Turkiye Black Sea Line (TBL) respectively.
CMA CGM has launched a new Baltic Express (BLX) / Baltic Shuttle (PLX) service that connects Gdansk, Kotka, Riga, Gdansk from 20 January 2025. The BLX/PLX service will turn in 7 days with a weekly frequncy using the 907 teu JSP MISTRAL.
