Unimed launch Egypt-Greece feeder service

Unimed, Unifeeder's Mediterranean feeder arm, has launched a new Egypt-Greece feeder service connecting Port Said, Piraeus, Port Said from 18 February 2024 using the 1,134 teu PAN GG for the first 2 sailings before it is replaced by the 1,129 teu EGY CROWN. The service will turn on a weekly basis and will call at the SCCT terminal at Port Said and PCT in Piraeus.

Arkas/EMES launch Spain Algeria Service (SAS)

EMES Feedering, the feeder operating arm of Arkas, has launched a new Spain Algeria Service (SAS) connecting Valencia, Algiers, Oran, Valencia from 15 February 2024 using the 698 teu ORION. The SAS service will turn in 10-14 days, with the call at Oran is omitted in the first 2 sailings. The Oran calls are scheduled to start from 13 March 2024.

Sidra Line adds Turkey Red Sea (TRS) service

Sidra Line has launched a new Turkey Red Sea (TRS) service from 10 February 2024 connecting Izmit, Ambarli, Iskenderun, Sokhna, Jeddah, Aden, Jeddah, Izmit. The service turns in 23 days and will deploy the 1,471 teu SIDRA AHLAM.

SeaLead adds Far East India Express 2 (FIX2) service

SeaLead will launch a new Far East India Express 2 (FIX2) service from 2 March 2024 connecting Ningbo, Xiamen, Shekou, Mundra, Port Klang, Ningbo. The service will turn in 5 weeks using 5 ships of 1,800-2,000 teu starting with the 1,930 teu BALTRUM, to be followed by 3 ships of 1,809 teu - ADAMASTOS, AVIOS, ASTRAIOS, with a 5th ship still to be named. Unifeeder adds 3rd Americas feeder service to connect Aruba and Curacao

Unifeeder will add a new Aruba and Curacao feeder service connecting Cartagena, Oranjestad, Willemstad, Cartagena from 1 March 2024 with the 642 teu ELLA Y. SThe new service is Unifeeder's third Americas service, adding to the Panama-Colombia service launched in January 2024 connecting Manzanillo, Turbo, Cartagena, Barranquilla,Santa Marta, Cartagena, Manzanillo and the Hispaniola-Puerto Rico service launched in March 2023 connecting Caucedo, Port au Prince, San Juan, Caucedo.

SeaLead joins Blue Water Lines on Gulf India Express (GIX) service

SeaLead will join Blue Water Lines on the Gulf India Express (GIX) service calling at Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Sohar, Jebel Ali, Dammam, Mundra from 22 February 2024. The GIX was first launched in November 2023 by Blue Water Lines, owned by India's Abrao Group, using the 1,662 teu ABRAO COCHIN on a fortnightly frequency calling at Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Sohar, Dammam, Khalifa bin Salman, Jebel Ali, Mundra. Taicang Container Lines (TCL) has launched a new Taicang-India East (TIE) direct service connecting Nanjing, Taicang, Xiamen, Port Klang, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Port Klang, Nanjing from 1 December 2023. The service operates on a monthly frequency using the 1,938 teu JOSCO LUCKY.

ONE will add 2 ships to Wan Hai's existing Asia America III (AA3) service from April and brand the service as the Asia Pacific 1 (AP1). The revised AA3/AP1 service will call at Haiphong, Cai Mep, Shekou, Xiamen, Taipei, Ningbo, Shanghai, Los Angeles, Oakland, Shekou, Haiphong from 8 May 2024, turning in 7 weeks using 7 ships of 7,000-14,000 teu with 5 ships operated by Wan Hai and 2 ships by ONE. CMA CGM launch Red Sea Med Express (REDEX)

CMA CGM has launched a new Red Sea Med Express (REDEX) to connect the Red Sea ports of Aqaba and Jeddah to 5 key transhipment hubs in the Med. The REDEX will call at Aqaba, Jeddah, Tanger Med, Algeciras, Malta, Alexandria, Damietta, Aqaba. The 4,404 teu CMA CGM PUGET made the inaugural call on the REDEX for an ad hoc trip from Alexandria, Malta to Aqaba and Jeddah before settling into the regular REDEX port rotation.
