FESCO has launched a new FESCO Black Sea Service (FBSS) connecting Rizhao, Shanghai, Shekou, Nhava Sheva, Novorossiysk with the 1,118 teu FESCO ASKOLD making the maiden voyage from Rizhao on 12 June 2023. The ship is scheduled to arrive at Novorossiysk on 19 July after a 36 day one-way transit. Global Field Line (GFL) has added new port calls and increased frequencies on its China-UAE-Russia service with relay connections at Jebel Ali. FESCO has revived its former FESCO Baltorient Line (FBOL) brand for a new direct service connecting China and St Petersburg that operates on a monthly basis. Russian carrier Modul has launched a new Modul America Russia Express (MAREX) service that connects St Petersburg with Paranagua and Santos. Russian operator Transit Line has launched a direct China to St Petersburg service on 30 March 2023 with the 2,193 teu XIN LONG YUN 86 which will be the largest ship that the Russian operator has operated so far. The new service will connect Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Nansha, St Petersburg. Only 1 sailing has been advertised so far.
Delo Group's Ruscon has partnered with Mountain Air Shipping (MAS), an international container shipping company based in Dubai, to operate a new liner service connecting Istanbul and St. Petersburg. The first sailing from Turkey was made on 30 January 2023 with the 707 teu SASCO ANIVA. The service will operate monthly and turns in 36 days, with a transit time of 15-17 days between Ambarli (Kumport) and St Petersburg (FCT).
