Maersk will launch a new SLN (Mediterranean Sea C) service calling at Barcelona, Valencia, Algeciras, Casablanca, Tangier Med, Mersin, Haifa, Alexandria, Fos, Barcelona from 12 January 2025. The service will replace its existing SLZ (Mediterranean Sea A) and SLH (Mediterranean Sea B) services that Maersk operates jointly with Arkas. CMA CGM has launched a new Bora Med Service (BMS) linking Antalya, Izmir, Aliaga, Ambarli, Gebze, Gemlik, Malta, Ancona, Ravenna, Venice, Trieste, Koper, Rijeka, Bar, Taranto, Malta, Limassol, Alexandria, Beirut, Antalya from 26 December 2024. The BMS service turns in 42 days and will deploy 6 ships of 1,800 to 2,500 teu starting with the 2,207 teu CMA CGM SAHARA at Antalya on 26 December 2024. COSCO's intra-European feeder operator Diamond Line has launched a new Piraeus-Algiers-El Dekheila (PAE) service in cooperation with Tarros from 28 June 2024 The PAE calls at Piraeus, Algiers, Alexandria, Piraeus, turning in 14 days using 2 ships of 900 teu, with each partner operating 1 ship each. The service was launched on 28 June 2024 from Alexandria with the 925 teu CONTSHIP IVY from COSCO and was followed by the 990 teu BF TROUT from Tarros on 5 July 2024.
