Regional Container Lines (RCL) and TS Lines (TSL) will launch a new South China-Thailand service calling at Nansha, Shekou, Laem Chabang, Bangkok (PAT and Sahathai), Nansha from 22 October 2024. The service will be branded by RCL as the RCL Bangkok-South China (RBS) and will turn in 2 weeks using the 1,707 PIYA BHUM and a second ship from TSL with the service name still to be announced.
Sinotrans has launch a new Shantou-Philippines Service 1 (SPS1) calling at Shantou, Hong Kong, Shekou, Manila (S), Shantou from 12 September 2024. The service turns in 7 days and deployed the 698 teu HAI SU 7 for an initial voyage on 12 September before it is replaced by the sistership HAI SU 6 from 19 September 2024. Sinotrans has taken both of these ships on charter from Antong, who is a fellow subsidiary of the China Merchants Group.
Asean Seas Line (ASL) will add a new Bangkok Thailand Express (BTX) service from 21 September 2024 by joing Zim/GSL on the latter's existing South China Thailand Express (SXT) service connecting Nansha, Dachan Bay, Laem Chabang, Bangkok, Laem Chabang, Cai Mep, Nansha. The BTX/SXT service turns in 14 days using 2 ships of 1,600-1,900 teu with ASL adding the 1,640 teu newbuilding CA SAIGON from 21 September at Nansha, replacing the 1,645 teu SEA OF LUCK that is operated by Gold Star Line (GSL). CK Line has launched a new Korea China Haiphong (KCH) service calling at Incheon, Qingdao, Ningbo, Haiphong, Shekou, Incheon from 30 August 2024. The new KCH service turns in 2 week and will operate initially on a fortnightly basis with the 907 teu TC MESSENGER.
Sinotrans has launched a new North China-Philippines (NCP) service calling at Xingang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Manila (North), Xingang from 22 August 2024. The NCP will turn in 3 weeks using 3 ships of 900-1,200 teu starting with the 1,200 teu KANG QI JIA HONG at Xingang on 22 August followed by the 1,032 teu DONG FANG FU and 907 teu SINOTRANS BEIJING
MSC has launched a new Saola service calling at Shanghai, Ningbo, Haiphong, Ho Chi Minh City, Cai Mep, Shanghai from 4 July 2024. The Saola service will turn in 21 days amd deploys 3 ships - the 2,824 teu MSC CORDELIA III, 2,798 teu MSC VIGOUR III and 2,646 teu MSC ZAINA III. Asean Seas Line (ASL) has launched a new China-Port Klang/Malaysia (CPM) service calling at Nansha, Shekou, Port Klang, Nansha from 6 July 2024. The service will turn in 12 days using a single ship starting with the 1,182 teu CA OSAKA at Nansha on 6 July 2024.
Maersk has relaunched the Far East-Middle East 1 (FM1) service with a new rotation calling at Singapore, Jebel Ali, Abu Dhabi, Salalah, Singapore from 29 June 2024. The new FM1 service will turn in 28 days and will deploy 4 ships of 3,500-8,700 teu.
Maersk has relaunched the IA11 service with a new rotation calling at Shanghai, Ningbo, Ho Chi Minh City, Shanghai from 1 July 2024 The IA11 will turn in 14 days and will deploy 2 ships - the 1,740 teu MAERSK VERACRUZ and 1,891 teu ERASMUS LEO. Maersk had operated the IA11 service previously with a southbound call at Kaohsiung which is dropped in the new rotation.
MSC will upgrade its existing Bengal service that connects Singapore, Chittagong, Singapore to an extended China-Bangladesh-Southeast Asia service that will call at Qingdao, Ningbo, Shanghai, Chittagong, Singapore, Tanjung Pelepas, Qingdao.
