Swire will upgrade its North West Australia Direct (NWD) service by splitting its existing Singapore-Darwin-Port Hedland service into 2 separate services. SeaLead will launch a new Australia-Indian Subcontinent service branded as the ASIA service from 20 March. The service will start from 20 March 2023 with the 4,250 teu REN JIAN 26 and call at Port Klang, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Port Klang, Karachi, Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Port Klang. The service will be operate on an irregular basis with only 2 ships with a frequency of 20-30 days, with plans to increase the frequency in the second half of 2023. The four carrier partnership of ANL (CMA CGM), Hapag-Lloyd, Maersk and ONE on the SE Asia-Australia route will revise their 3 existing services from March 2023. The first service, branded respectively as the ANL 'AAX-S' (changed from AAX1), Hapag-Lloyd 'SEA', Maersk 'Greater Australia Connect' (GAC) (changed from Cobra) and ONE 'AU1', will call at Port Klang, Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Fremantle, Port Kelang from 9 March 2023 with the 8,400 teu MAERSK STRALSUND .

Zim has withdrawn its North China Australia Express (C3A) service from December 2022. The last sailing was made by the 1,717 teu OPHELIA that ended its rotation at Brisbane on 23 December 2022.
