Hai An has launched a new East China Express (ECX) service connecting Ho Chi Minh City, Haiphong, Lianyungang, Haiphong, Ho Chi Minh City from 2 July 2025. The service turns in 28 days and will deploy ships of 1,000-1,200 teu on a fortnightly frequency starting with the 1,200 teu HAIAN BELL at Ho Chi Minh City on 1 July, followed by the 1,032 teu HAIAN TIME on 14 July.
Sinotrans has added a new China-Haiphong Service 2 (CHS2) connecting Qingdao, Ningbo, Haiphong, Qingdao from 6 June 2025. The CHS2 turns in 14 days and deploys the 698 teu HAI SU 7 and HAI SU 6.
RCL has launched a new RCL Calcutta Service 9 (RCH9) connecting Chu Lai, Port Klang (WP), Kolkata, Kattupalli, Chu Lai from 16 May 2025. The service turns in 25-28 days and deploys various ships of 800 teu to 1,000 teu on irregular schedules starting with the 1,018 teu CHANA BHUM at Chu Lai on 16 May 2025.
Jin Jiang Shipping has added an extended Saigon Shanghai Express (SSX) service connecting Haiphong, Ho Chi Minh City, Shanghai, Nagoya, Shimizu, Shanghai, Haiphong from 22 May 2025. The new SSX service turns in 3 weeks using 3 ships of 1,000-1,200 teu. It is an extension of the original SSX service that was first launched on 31 March 2025 to connect Shanghai, Haiphong, Ho Chi Minh City, Shanghai using the 1,182 teu MILD SYMPHONY and MILD CONCERTO. Interasia Lines (IAL), TS Lines (TSL) and Yang Ming (YM) will launch a new Japan-Taiwan-South China-Vietnam service calling at Osaka, Kobe, Keelung, Kaohsiung, Nansha, Shekou, Haiphong, Hong Kong, Shekou, Osaka from 17 March 2025. The service will be branded as the Japan-Haiphong Service (JHS) by IAL, Japan-Taiwan-Hong Kong 3 (JTK3) by TSL and Japan Kansai Express (JKX) by Yang Ming, turning in 3 weeks using the 1,708 teu INTERASIA FORWARD, 1,909 teu TS GUANGZHOU and 1,803 teu YM INAUGURATION.
Ningbo Ocean Shipping (NBOSCO) has launched a new China Japan Vietnam 1 (CJV1) service connecting Osaka, Kobe, Nagoya, Tokyo, Yokohama, Taicang, Zhapu, Ningbo, Haiphong, Ningbo, Zhapu, Taicang, Osaka from 1 May 2024. The service turns in 3 weeks using 3 ships of 1,000 teu and replaced the former CJKS1/CJKT5 service that called at Ningbo, Hakata, Moji, Osaka, Kobe, Zhapu, Taicang, Osaka, Kobe, Nagoya, Tokyo, Yokohama, Zhapu, Ningbo.
CMA CGM and its intra-Asia arm CNC has introduced a new China Vietnam Express 8 (CV8) service calling at Shanghai, Ningbo, Ho Chi Minh City, Shanghai from 28 December 2024. The CV8 service turns in 14 days and deploys the 2,058 teu CMA CGM ESCURIAL and 1,756 teu KUO LIN.
Interasia Lines (IAL) has launched a new Vietnam Thailand India (VTI) service connecting Ho Chi Minh City, Laem Chabang, Port Klang(N), Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Port Klang(N), Ho Chi Minh City from 13 December 2024. The VTI service will turn in 5 weeks and is expected to deploy ships of 2,600 to 3,000 teu with irregular sailings initially starting with the 2,782 teu INTERASIA ELEVATE at Ho Chi Minh City on 13 December 202 and the 3,055 teu INTERASIA TENACITY at Ho Chi Minh City on 4 January 2025.
SITC has launched a new Beibu Gulf-Vietnam Express (BVX) service connecting Haiphong, Qinzhou, Haiphong from 16 December 2024. The service turns in 3-4 days using the 588 teu VIMC PIONEER.
Regional Container Lines (RCL) will launch a new RCL Vietnam Philippines (RVP) service connecting Ho Chi Minh City, Ilo Ilo, Ho Chi Minh City from 25 October 2024 with the geared 628 teu ORA BHUM. The service will operate on a rolling 9-10 day round trip rotation.
