Ellerman acquires Viasea Shipping

Ellerman City Liners announced on 12 November 2025 the acquisition of Viasea Shipping that operates a niche shortsea service using 2 ships of 800 teu connecting UK, Netherlands, Poland, Norway and Lithuania. Viasea Shipping was launched in November 2016 as a subsidiary of Norwegian logistics services provider ColliCare Logistics. It current has offices in Moss, Rotterdam, Gdynia, Klaipeda, and Immingham. Following the acquisition, Ellerman's services will be expanded to cover * Viasea Shippin

Samskip and Viasea launch new UK-Rotterdam-Norway Oslofjord service

Samskip and Viasea have teamed up to launch a new UK-Rotterdam-Norway Oslofjord service that calls at Rotterdam and Immingham/Tilbury to 6 ports in Norway from 1 March 2024. The service will deploy 4 ships of 500-800 teu, and will offer 3 weekly calls at Oslo, 2 calls at Moss and 1 call at Brevik, Kristiansand, Frederikstad and Larvik. At Rotterdam, the service will call at the multipurpose Martrans terminal.
