MSC revises Europe-East Med routing

MSC will revise the rotation of two North Europe-East Med services after it ends its cooperation with Zim on this trade from the end of March 2022. The revision will involve the Israel Express /NE1 service that was jointly operated by MSC and Zim and currently calls at Felixstowe, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Le Havre, Limassol, Ashdod, Haifa, Ashdod, Valencia, Felixstowe using 5 ships of 5,500 to 6,700 teu, of which 2 ships are contributed by ZIM and 3 ships by MSC. Zim to launch new SE Asia-USEC ZXB service

Zim will launch a new ZIM Ecommerce Baltimore Express (ZXB) service that calls at Yantian, Cai Mep, Baltimore, New York, Boston, Yantian. The service will be operated initially on a fortnightly basis using 5 ships of 2,700-3,400 teu on a 70 days rotation and will be upgraded to a weekly frequency at a later date. The first sailing will be on 8 April with the 3,100 teu MH GREEN.

TS Lines enters Asia-Europe trade in partnership with CUL

TS Lines will be the latest new entrant to the Asia-Europe trade when it joins CUL as a vessel operator on the latter's Asia Europe Express (AEX) service on 17 March 2022. TS Lines will deploy the 4,380 teu TS SINGAPORE on the AEX, joining 5 other ships from CUL of 4,000-4,400 teu. The service calls at Ningbo, Shanghai, Xiamen, Shekou, Tilbury, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Ningbo with ad-hoc calls added on inducement at Qingdao, Yantian and Ho Chi Minh City.

SeaLead to launch US East Coast service

SeaLead Shipping will launch a new Asia-US East Coast (AEC) service from 6 March 2022 with 6,661 teu HAKUNA MATATA. The irregular service will deploy 3 ships 6,700 to 7,000 teu and call at Nansha, Ningbo, Qingdao, Busan, Norfolk, Newark, Charleston, Jacksonville, Nansha. It had earlier sent the 6,966 teu TIMON on an ad-hoc USEC trip in January. The ships will be drawn from Sea Lead's existing services on the Asia-US West Coast and Asia-Middle East routes. Allseas places first long term chartered ship on China-Liverpool service

Allseas has received its first long term chartered ship the 1,878 teu ALLSEAS PIONEER that will be deployed on its China Xpress (CEX) service that connects Ningbo, Dongguan and Liverpool starting from 10 March 2022. The service was first introduced by Allseas in April 2021 and had previous relied on various short term charters using mainly multi-purpose cargo ships. The ALLSEAS PIONEER (ex HUA MAO 369, VALDIVIA) is a general cargo vessel built in 2003 that has been modified in the last 2 months

RCL will launch a new feeder service connecting Singapore and Surabaya. The RSU1 service is expected to start on 13 March 2022 and it will deploy the 1,108 teu MITRA BHUM to shuttle between the two ports.

CNC to take slots on 2 of ASL’s South China-Vietnam services

Asean Seas Lines will revise 2 of its South China to Central and Northern Vietnam services, with CNC taking slots. The Hong Kong Danang Service (HDS) will start on 28 February 2022 and call at Hong Kong, Shekou, Nansha, Danang, Hong Kong with the 357 teu HUA KAI. The Hong Kong Haiphong Express 5 (HHX5) will start from 7 March 2022 and call at Qinzhou, Hong Kong, Nansha, Haiphong, Qinzhou with the 599 teu FAR EAST CHEER.

PIL, TS Lines, Yang Ming and SeaLead Shipping will jointly launch a new service connecting China and Australia that will connect Qingdao, Shanghai, Nansha, Shekou, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Qingdao. The service is branded as the Sino Australia Express (SAE) by PIL and China-Australia 2 (CA2) by Yang Ming.
