Global Feeder Shipping (GFS) will launch a new Colombo-Kolkata service from 1 March 2023. The service calls weekly at Colombo, Kolkata, Colombo and turns in 14 days with the 1,440 teu AS RAFAELA and the 818 teu PREMIER.

Tailwind Shipping Lines introduces TEX Service

Tailwind Shipping Lines has launched a new service from Bangladesh to Europe called the Tiger Express (TEX) service. The service is named after the Bengal tiger and will connect Chittagong, Barcelona, Moerdijk, Chittagong, with a transit time of less than 20 days between Chittagong and Barcelona. CMA CGM and OOCL to launch Bangladesh India Gulf Express (BIGEX)

CMA CGM and OOCL/COSCO are jointly launching a new Bangladesh India Gulf Express (BIGEX) service that connects Chittagong, Colombo, Mangalore, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Jebel Ali, Abu Dhabi, Chittagong. The service is scheduled to start from 5 April 2023 and will turn in 28 days with 4 ships of 1,700 teu, of which 3 are from CMA CGM and 1 ship from OOCL.

Wan Hai introduce new CI8 service

Wan Hai will start a new China West India Service VIII (CI8) connecting Nansha, Haiphong, Ho Chi Minh City, Surabaya, Singapore, Port Klang Northport, Colombo, Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Port Klang Northport, Ho Chi Minh City, Danang, Haiphong, Qinzhou, Nansha in February 2023. The service will start from 26 Feb 2023 with the 3,013 teu WAN HAI 353 at Nansha. The services is expected to turn in 6 weeks and will initially operate on an irregular schedule.

X-Press Feeders launch Intra Morocco X-Press (IMX)

X-Press Feeders has launched the Intra Morocco X-press (IMX) that connects Tangier and Casablanca with the 868 teu X-PRESS SOUSSE. The service has started on 5 February 2023 at Tangier with sailings every 4-5 days.

Continental Shipping Line (CSL) repudiated Euroseas charter

Continental Shipping Line (CSL) has repudiated the charter for Euroseas' 1,471 teu AEGEAN EXPRESS that was originally fixed in April 2022 for a period of 36 months at a daily time charter rate of $41,000. The ship was drydocked in October 2022 and was still undergoing the drydock in January 2023 when CSL repudiated the charter. Euroseas said it is pursuing legal action and the ship is currently seeking a replacement charter after completing drydock on 10 February 2023. CSL had first chartered t

Samudera Shipping has merged 2 Southeast Asian feeder services into an extended rotation connecting Yangon, Singapore, Quinhon, Danang, Singapore, Yangon. The extended service will replace the Singapore Yangon Service (YGX) and Central Vietnam Service (CVS) and the 3 ships that are currently operating on these services have been phased into the new service - the 1,054 teu SINAR SOLO and SINAR BANDUNG, together with the 1,048 teu SINAR BANDA.

MTT Shipping has launched a new Straits Yangon service connecting Singapore, Port Klang, Yangon, (Penang-optional), Singapore using the 1,162 teu MTT SAISUNEE. Maersk suspends TP20 FE-USEC transpacific service

Maersk has suspended the TP20 FE-USEC transpacific service that connects Jakarta, Cai Mep, Shanghai, Ningbo, Busan, Panama Canal, Mobile, New York, Suez Canal, Jakarta with the last sailing by the 4,252 teu NAGOYA TRADER that has departed from Jakarta on 13 February 2023.
