MSC will merge its Japan-Southeast Asia Origami service with the Singapore-Kenya/Tanzania Oryx service from 9 November 2025 into an enhanced Origami service that will call at Tokyo, Yokohama, Yokkaichi, Nagoya, Busan, Ningbo, Singapore, Colombo, Mombasa, Dar es Salam, Singapore, Kaohsiung, Busan, Tokyo. The enhanced Origami will turn in 1o weeks using 10 ships of 4,000 to 5,000 teu starting with the 4,294 teu MSC GENERAL IV at Tokyo on 9 November.
Taicang Container Lines (TCLC) the container shipping arm of Jiangsu Ocean Shipping (JOSCO) has added a new Nanjing-Jakarta service connection on the India East Direct Service (TIE) from 23 October 2025. The revised TIE will call at Nanjing, Taicang, Xiamen, Jakarta, Port Klang, Chennai, Port Klang, Nanjing. The service turns in around 32 days using 2 ships of 1,000 to 1,900 teu to offer 2 sailings per month.
CMA CGM will launch a new Shuttle Tunisia Morocco service connecting Sfax, Tanger, Valencia, Sfax from 29 October 2025. The service will turn in 2 weeks using 2 ships of 800 teu starting with the 862 teu CT DANIEL at Sfax on 29 October 2025. The service is aimed at the export of dates from Tunisia to Morocco and Spain.
SITC will launch a new VTX8 service connecting Shanghai, Osaka, Kobe, Tokuyama Kudamatsu, Shanghai, Ningbo, Sihanoukville, Bangkok, Laem Chabang, Bangkok, Shanghai from 4 November 2025. The VTX8 will turn in 4 weeks using 4 ships of 900 teu to 1,000 teu starting with the 932 teu RESURGENCE at Shanghai on 4 November for the southbound voyage and 1,034 teu SITC WEIHAI at Shanghai on 9 November for the northbound voyage.
Sea Legend will discontinue its China-Europe Arctic Express (CAX) service after only a single sailing. The 4,890 teu ISTANBUL BRIDGE completed its maiden westbound CAX voyage at Felixstowe on 14 October 2025 after departing from Ningbo on 23 September 2025, completing the Arctic Northern Sea Route (NSR) in 21 days. The JTV service will turn in 4 weeks using 4 ships of 1,700 teu starting with the 1,707 teu INSIGHT at Kobe on 28 October 2025.
SeaLead will replace its standalone Five Seas Express (5CX) service with a new Far East-Mediterranean service via the Suez Canal in cooperation with CU Lines (CUL) and Global Feeder Services (GFS) from the end of October 2025. Shandong Marine Corporation (SMC) has launched a new Qingdao-Jeju container service connecting Qingdao, Jeju, Qingdao. The service will deploy the 672 teu SMC RIZHAO on a weekly rotation starting from 16 October 2025 at Qingdao, becoming the first service to provide regular direct connections between China to Jeju in South Korea.
