MSC has launched a new service that connects Turkey, North Africa, Portugal and Spain starting from 29 December 2022. The Turkey to North Africa service connects Mersin, Aliaga, Derince, Tekirdag, Algiers, Casablanca, Sines, Valencia, Algiers, Malta, Mersin using 4 ships of 1,100 teu that will turn in 28 days. The CONTSHIP OAK, MSC CHARLOTTE, MSC SIGMA F and MSC AZURIT F have been assigned for the first 4 voyages but MSC will be shuffling vessels on this service from its Med network. Turkey
Ellerman has launched a new dedicated service connecting Iberia, UK and Netherlands called the Iberia North Europe Express (iNEX) service that connects Cadiz, Setubal, Aveiro, Teesport, Tilbury, Rotterdam, Cadiz. The iNEX service started on 5 November 2022 at Setubal with the 803 teu KRISTIN SCHEPERS and will operate on a fortnightly frequency. Thor Svecon Group (TSG) will add a fourth ship to its SUN Line service to offer a new connection between Stockholm, Hull and Rotterdam using the 646 teu PERSEUS from 7 November 2022. SUN Line currently operates the 304 teu ODIN and FREJ, together with the 360 teu ALBREK on its existing service that connects the ports of Vasteras, Sodertalje, Oxelosund, Antwerp, Amsterdam and Hull.
