Zim/GSL extends China Thailand Vietnam CT3 service

Zim/Gold Star Line is adding more port calls on the China Thailand Vietnam III (CT3) that will extend the service to reach North Asia from January 2023. The CT3 was launched on 25 November 2022 and had initially called at Ningbo, Xiamen, Nangha, Laem Chabang, Bangkok, Laem Chabang, Haiphong, Yantian, Nansha, Ningbo using 3 ships of 1,700-2,000 teu. The service will be extended to call at Xingang, Dalian, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Nansha, Sihanoukville, Bangkok, Laem Chabang, Haiphong, Yantia

Shandong Port Shipping Group launch new Qingdao-Japan service in cooperation with Dongchen

Shandong Port Shipping Group (SPGS) has launched a new North China-Japan service connecting Qingdao, Yokohama, Tokyo, Qingdao, Osaka, Kobe, Qingdao in cooperation with Dongchen Line. The service combines the existing Qingdao-Kansai (QDKS) service to Osaka and Kobe  operated by Dongchen, with the new PES2 service to Yokohama and Tokyo in a butterfly pattern. The QDKS/PES2 service will deploy the 1,049 teu A KOU operated by Dongchen with the 1,043 teu PACANDA from SPGS, starting from 6 January

RCL and IAL launch new Vietnam Straits Myanmar (VSM) service

Regional Container Lines (RCL) and Interasia Lines (IAL) have teamed up to launch a new service connecting Ho Chi Minh City, Singapore, Port Klang (W), Port Klang (N), Yangon, Thilawa, Port Klang (W), Port Klang (N), Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City. The service turns in 3 weeks with 3 ships of 1,000-1,100 teu and is branded by RCL as the RCL Yangon-Hochiminh (RYH) and by IAL as the Vietnam-Straits-Myanmar (VSM) service. The service started on 19 December 2022 from Port Klang with the 1,118 teu PAN

Zhonggu launch China Malaysia Indonesia (CMI) service

Zhonggu Shipping has expanded further outside of its core China domestic market with the launch of its new China Malaysia Indonesia (CMI) service in November 2022. The new service connects Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Port Klang, Jakarta, Surabaya, Qingdao and turns in 4 weeks using 4 ships of 1,900-2,500 teu. Emirates Shipping Line (ESL), Interasia Lines (IAL) and TS Lines (TSL) will launch a new China Malaysia Service/China Malaysia Express (CMS/CMX) connecting Qingdao, Shanghai, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Shekou, Port Klang (NP/WP), Penang, Port Klang (WP), Nansha, Hong Kong, Qingdao from 20 December 2022. Sealand/Maersk launch new HP3 service to Haiphong after PH9 revision

Sealand Asia will launch a new HP3 service connecting Busan, Kaohsiung and Nansha with Haiphong as part of a revamp of its existing PH9 service with the South China to Cebu and Cagayan de Oro leg that will be incorporated in the new HP3. The HP3 start from 16 December 2022 and will call Busan, Kaohsiung, Nansha, Haiphong, Yantian, Hong Kong, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Hong Kong, Nansha, Kaohsiung, Busan. The CT3 turns in 3 weeks using 3 Bangkokmax ships, the 1,762 teu MTT SANDAKAN and two 1,984 teu newbuildings MARLA TIGER and MARLA BULL that have just been chartered by Zim.

Jin Jiang Shipping has launched a new butterfly service that connects Dalian with the Kanto and Kansai ports in Japan. The new service is branded as the Dalian-Japan Hanshin/Dalian-Japan Kanto (DJH/DJK) and will call Dalian, Osaka, Kobe, Dalian, Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Dalian. CNC Line, the intra-Asian subsidiary of CMA CGM, has launched a new China Southeast Asia (CSE1) service that connects Dalian, Incheon, Ningbo, Shanghai, Laem Chabang, Bangkok, Laem Chabang, Manila, Quinhon, Chu Lai, Dalian The service started on 11 October 2022 with the 1,756 teu CNC PLUTO from Dalian. 4 ships of 1,012-1,952 teu are deployed on this service.

Sealand Asia revamps IA-9 service with CNC & ONE taking slots

Sealand Asia, the intra-Asia arm of Maersk, has revamped its IA-9 service with a new streamlined port rotation calling at Qingdao, Yokohama, Nagoya, Kobe, Shanghai, Xiamen, Ho Chi Minh City, Singapore, Tanjung Pelepas, Port Klang (N), Penang, Port Klang (W), Tanjung Pelepas, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Qingdao.
