Marsa Ocean Shipping has become the latest carrier to join the Asia-Med trade with the introduction of the 2,466 teu MARSA NEPTUNE to Far East-Mediterranean FEM1 service that is jointly operated by CStar Line, Global Feeder Shipping (GFS) and Uniglobal Shipping (UGL). ONE has joined Emirates Shipping (ESL), Global Feeder Shipping (GFS) and KMTC on the Far East-Middle East GLX/GALEX/AIM service as a vessel operator from 1 November 2024. ONE has added the 6,765 teu HYUNDAI BUSAN to the service from 11 December 2024, replacing one of ESL's ships that form part of the 7 ships of 6,500 teu to 8,500 teu on the service. ONE has announced the launch of a new India Coast Express (ICE) service through slots on Global Feeder Shipping's Colombo Cochin Gulf (CCG) service that connects West Coast India, Colombo and East Coast India. The CCG/ICE calls at Mundra, Pipavav, Mangalore, Cochin, Colombo, Kattupalli, Visakhapatnam, Kattupalli, Colombo, Cochin, Mangalore, Mundra. The service turns in 28 days using 4 Indian flagged ships of 2,700-3,300 teu operated by GFS.

Abu Dhabi Ports (AD Ports), the owner of Safeen Feeders, is reported to be in talks to acquire Indonesia’s Meratus Line in a transaction that could be valued at $2Bn.
