Emirates Shipping Line (ESL) will return to the Transpacific trade from July 2025 in a partnership with UWL on the Sun Chief Express service. ESL first entered the Transpacific trade in 2006 when it partnered Zim, SCI and MacAndrews on the India-USEC Indus Express (IDX) and with Zim on the Asia-US Gulf Express (AGX). Emirates Shipping Line (ESL) has added an India-East Mediterranean Express (IEX) service connecting Mundra, Jeddah, Alexandria, Mersin, Iskenderun, Alexandria, Jeddah, Mundra. The service was launched on 18 November 2024 at Mundra and deploys the 1,781 teu ASL TAIPEI and ASL HONG KONG on a 28 day rotation with a fortnightly service frequency.
Emirates Shipping Line has launched a new ESL Gulf Red Sea Connector (EGRC) service calling at Jebel Ali, Aqaba, Sokhna, Jeddah, Mundra, Jebel Ali from 28 May 2024. The rotation of the EGRC is not fixed and will differ between sailings. The EGRC will turn in around 30 days on an irregular frequency and deploys the 1,781 teu ASL TAIPEI and 1,930 teu ASL PEONY.
