MSC will merge its Japan-Southeast Asia Origami service with the Singapore-Kenya/Tanzania Oryx service from 9 November 2025 into an enhanced Origami service that will call at Tokyo, Yokohama, Yokkaichi, Nagoya, Busan, Ningbo, Singapore, Colombo, Mombasa, Dar es Salam, Singapore, Kaohsiung, Busan, Tokyo. The enhanced Origami will turn in 1o weeks using 10 ships of 4,000 to 5,000 teu starting with the 4,294 teu MSC GENERAL IV at Tokyo on 9 November.
MSC will launch a new Cheetah service connecting Singapore, Colombo, Beira, Nacala, Singapore from November 2025. The service will turn 5 weeks using 5 ships of 2,500 teu starting with the 2,532 teu MSC SHEFFIELD III at Singapore on 3 November 2025.

CMA CGM will launch a new Kilima Xpress service connecting Shanghai, Ningbo, Nansha, Singapore, Colombo, Mombasa, Dar es Salaam, Colombo, Singapore, Shanghai. The Kilima Xpress service will turn in 8 weeks and will deploy 8 ships of 3,500-5,000 teu starting from 4 August 2025 with the 4,231 teu CMA CGM TARRAGONA.
SeaLead will launch a new Mombasa-Dar es Salaam (MDS) service using the 1,118 teu DEVON. The service will operate on a rolling 10-11 days schedule, with the first sailing from Mombasa on 23 March 2025 (delayed from the original schedule 17 March 2025).
Amu Shipping has launched a new feeder service connecting Mogadishu, Mombasa, Kismayo, Mogadishu from 13 January 2025 using the newly acquired geared 1,083 teu AMU JAMEEL (ex BOSTON TRADER build 2002) that has just completed its positioning trip from China carrying cargo from Qingdao, Ningbo and Nansha to Kenya and Somalia.
SeaLead has launched a new Dubai-Kenya (DUKE) service connecting Karachi, Jebel Ali, Mombasa, Karachi from 4 November 2024. The service will turn in 2-3 weeks and will deploy 2 ships initially starting with the 1,118 teu CONTSHIP UNO and DEVON.
SeaLead will launch a new Asia and India-East Africa (ANIDEA) service calling at Shanghai, Ningbo, Nansha, Port Klang, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Mombasa, Dar Es Salaam, Shanghai from 24 November 2024. The service will replace the existing India-Dubai-East Africa (IDEA) service, which will be extended to China and drop the connection at Dubai.
