ANL (part of the CMA CGM Group), COSCO and OOCL will launch a new China Australia Express (A3X/ACX) as the 4th service of the Asia Australia Consortium (A3) that complements their existing A3N, A3C and A3S joint services. ANL/CMA CGM will launch a new Northeast Asia to PNG and Far North Queensland APR2 service connecting Qingdao, Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Nansha, Lae, Motukea, Brisbane, Gladstone, Townsville, Qingdao from 12 September 2025. The service turns in 42 days using 3 ships of 1,700 teu on a fortnightly frequency starting with the 1,756 teu SAN GIORGIO at Qingdao on 12 September, followed by the 1,740 teu ELA and 1,794 teu SEVILLIA.
The four carrier partnership of ANL (CMA CGM), Hapag-Lloyd, Maersk and ONE on the SE Asia-Australia route will revise their 3 existing services from March 2023. The first service, branded respectively as the ANL 'AAX-S' (changed from AAX1), Hapag-Lloyd 'SEA', Maersk 'Greater Australia Connect' (GAC) (changed from Cobra) and ONE 'AU1', will call at Port Klang, Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Fremantle, Port Kelang from 9 March 2023 with the 8,400 teu MAERSK STRALSUND .
