SeaLead reroutes Asia-US East Coast service via Suez

SeaLead will re-route its Asia-US East Coast (AEC) service from Panama to the Suez route by transhipment at Damietta. The service will replace its previous AEC service that was first launched in March 2022 to connect Nansha, Ningbo, Qingdao, Busan, Norfolk, New York, Charleston, Jacksonville, Nansha via the Panama Canal. SeaLead has launched a new Five Seas Express (5CX) service connecting Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Nansha, Port Klang, Jeddah, Damietta, Ambarli, (Misurata - irregular), Damietta, Jeddah, Port Klang, Qingdao. The service started on 12 December 2022 with the 6,966 teu TIMON, followed by the 6,661 teu HAKUNA MATATA on 15 December 2022 and the 5,060 teu PUMBA on 28 December 2022 from Qingdao. SeaLead launch Sudan Red Sea Shuttle (SRS)

SeaLead has launched a new Sudan Red Sea Shuttle (SRS) service connecting Jeddah and Sudan on 20 January 2023 with the 1,078 teu SENTOSA TRADER. The service operates on a 10 day frequency and calls at the DPW Red Sea Gateway Terminal in Jeddah and the Port Sudan container terminal.

MSC has launched a new INDIA TO EAST MED service connecting Abu Dhabi, Jebel Ali, Hamad, Jubail, Abu Dhabi, Karachi, Mundra, Hazira, King Abdullah Port, Alexandria, Tekirdag, Aliaga, Mersin, King Abdullah Port, Abu Dhabi. BTL introduces new India-Saudi-Iraq (ISI) service

Bengal Tiger Line (BTL) has launched a new India-Saudi-Iraq (ISI) service that connects Mundra, Dammam, Umm Qasr, Mundra. The service will start on 8 February 2023 with the 929 teu XO LUCKY at Mundra. The move will mark BTL's return to the India West Coast where it has appointed Oasis Shipping as its agent. Oasis is BTL's current agent in East and South India.

X-Press launches La Spezia Barcelona X-Press (SBX)

X-Press Feeders has launched the La Spezia Barcelona X-Press (SBX) that connects the two Med ports in Italy and Spain.  The weekly shuttle service started on 17 January 2023 with 707 teu X-PRESS VESUVIO for two voyages, and replaced by the 700 teu WEC MAJORELLE since 31 January 2023.

HR Lines starts BSX

HR Lines have launched the BANGLADESH SINGAPORE EXPRESS (BSX) with the new acquired 1,092 teu HR TURAG (ex MAERSK ARUN) that phased in on 2 February 2023 at Chittagong. The new service will connect Singapore directly with Chittagong and complements HR Lines' existing Bangladesh Express Service (BES) that connects Singapore, Port Klang, Chittagong. The service turns in 13-14 days.

Containerships launches several shuttle services

Containerships, a subsidiary of CMA CGM, is launching several shuttle services connecting Germany with the Scandinavian ports. First, Finland Express (FLX) will start on 29 January with 1,368 teu CONTAINERSHIPS STELLAR at Bremerhaven. The service will be running on weekly basis calling Bremerhaven, Hamburg, Kotka, Helsinki, Tallinn, Bremerhaven.
