ZIM eCommerce Xpress service is suspended

Zim has withdrawn the ZIM eCommerce Xpress (ZEX) service with the last sailing by the 4,253 teu ALEXANDER BAY that will complete its current voyage at Busan on 30 March 2023. Milaha & X-Press Feeders launch India-UAE-Qatar-Saudi service

Milaha and X-Press Feeders are teaming up to launch a new India-UAE-Qatar-Saudi service connecting Jebel Ali, Khalifa Port, Nhava Sheva, Hazira, Mundra, Jebel Ali, Hamad, Dammam, Jebel Ali. The service is branded as the India Middle East X-Press service (IMEX) by X-Press Feeders and it is an extended version of the current Nhava Sheva Doha Express (NDX) operated by Milaha with the addition of new calls at Khalifa, Hazira and Dammam. FESCO Indian Line connects India-Turkey-Russia

FESCO has introduced a new FESCO Indian Line West (FILW) service connecting Novorossiysk, Ambarli, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Novorossiysk. The service will be operated on a fortnightly basis starting from 1 March 2023, with the first sailing expected to use the 1,440 teu GFS SAPPHIRE.

CMA CGM reshuffles West Africa services

CMA CGM will revise its Europe-West Africa and West Africa feeder service from March 2023. The Europe Afrique 3 (EURAF 3) service will be withdrawn from 10 April and the 4 ships of 1,600-1,740 teu will be redeployed on the WAZZAN. This service current calls at Algeciras, Tangier, Freetown, Monrovia, San Pedro, Banjul, Algeciras. OVP Shipping launched China-Baltic Sea Service to Russia

OVP Shipping has launched a new Baltic Sea direct service that connects Qingdao, Ningbo, Taicang, Nansha, St Petersburg, Qingdao. The service started on 16 January 2023 from Qingdao with the 3,081 teu STONEWELL GLORY. A second sailing is planned in February with the 1,878 teu ALLSEAS PIONEER but the voyage has been delayed due to vessel repairs. Reel Shipping launch Damietta-St Petersburg service

Reel Shipping has launched a new Damietta to St Petersburg service to take advantage of the high demand for Russian imports from Asia via transhipment at Damietta. The service started from 24 January 2023 and deploys 5 ships of 1,730 teu to 2,700 teu. Sailing frequencies are irregular at the moment, ranging from 2 days to 16 days. SeaLead replaces direct Transpacific service with new transhipment option

SeaLead has ended its direct services on the Transpacific connecting China with the US and replaced it with a transhipment option to the the US East Coast by transhipment via Damietta. SeaLead started its transpacific operations in August 2021 on the Asia-US West Coast and added a Asia-US East Coast service via the Panama Canal in March 2022. These services were operated on an irregular basis using ships of 3,500 to 7,000 teu. The direct transpacific connections have stopped since December 2022

Safetrans Line will launch a new St Petersburg Direct Service from China. Transfar to exit transpacific trade

Transfar Shipping will stop its transpacific services from February 2023 after the 3 ships it currently deploys on the trade end their current voyages from the US East Coast. Unifeeder expands to the Americas

Unifeeder has launched its first feeder service in the Americas with a new Dominican Feeder Service (DFS) connecting Caucedo, Port-au-Prince, San Juan, Caucedo. The DFS service will provide weekly connections between the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Haiti starting from 12 March 2023 using the 974 teu ELBRUNNER (ex SEABOARD ATLANTIC).
