HMM adds direct Jakarta to South America link

HMM has added a new call at Jakarta on the Far East-India-Latin America (FIL) service to provide a direct link between Indonesia and Latin America. The enhanced FIL service will call at Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekou, Jakarta, Singapore, Kattupalli, Santos, Paranagua, Itapoa, Itajai, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Santos, Singapore, Hong Kong, Busan. TS Lines partners Maersk on NV2 service

TS Lines has introduced a new North Vietnam 2 (NV2) service in a partnership with Maersk/Sealand Asia. The service calls at Ningbo, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Haiphong, Hong Kong, Ningbo using 2 ships of 1,000 teu. TS Lines's chartered 987 teu ORTOLAN EPSILON made its maiden call at Ningbo on 30 May 2023 for one voyage, joining Maersk's 1,049 teu ASIATIC SUN on the service. TS Line will replace the ship with the TS HAIPHONG and TS KOBE subsequently in June.

Safetrans/OVP/Mountain Air launch Med-Baltic and Black Sea feeder services

Safetrans, OVP Shipping and Mountan Air Shipping have launched two new feeder services to provide relay connections for their joint service from China to connect to the Russan market through the Baltic and Black Sea gateways of St Petersburg and Novorossiysk. The Med-Baltic Feeder will connect Ambarli and St Petersburg and currently deploys 3 ships from OVP - OVP ARIES (2,464 teu), ALLSEAS PIONEER (1,878 teu), HUA XIANG 936 (1,675 teu). 2 more ships will be added in July 2023 with the frequency

Spliethoff adds Transatlantic conro service

Spliethoff has launched a new Transatlantic container/roro service starting from June 2023. The service will operate on a monthly frequency and call at Antwerp, Bristol or Southampton, Baltimore, Gloucester using roro ships from sister company Transfennica that are normally operated on the intra-European routes. CNC, the intra-Asia subsidiary of CMA CGM, is launching a North China Booster service that connects Dalian, Qingdao, Busan, Kwangyang, Busan, Dalian. The new feeder service  will turn in 7 days using the 1,708 teu CNC BANGKOK that will phase in at Dalian on 30 June 2023.

Imoto Lines receives its largest ship for domestic Japan trade

Imoto Lines has received the first of 3 ships of 1,096 teu for the domestic Japanese trade with the KISO that was delivered on 10 May 2023 by Kyokuyo shipyard, although the first port call was made on 2 June 2023 at Kobe. Containerships upgrade Portugal East Coast (PGEC) service

CMA CGM's Containerships has upgraded its Portugal East Coast (PGEC) with new calls at Bassens (France) and Algeciras (Spain) from 6 June 2023. The revised PGEC rotation will call at Rotterdam, Bassens, Setubal, Algeciras, Setubal, Leixoes, Ferrol, Tilbury, Dunkirk, Antwerp, Vlissingen, Rotterdam on a 21 day rotation using 3 ships - the 962 teu SPICA J, 812 teu VOHBURG and 803 teu JORK RULER.
