Oceanus Line launch Florida Gulf Express (FGX)

Oceanus Line has launched a new Florida Gulf Express (FGX) service that connects Port Manatee, Freeport (Texas), Veracruz, Cartagena, Port Manatee on a fortnightly basis with the 1,740 teu X-PRESS COTOPAXI. The service started on 18 March 2023 at Cartagena, with an ad hoc call at Tuxpan enroute to Port Manatee on its inaugural voyage. Oceanus Line is based in Miami, Florida and was established in October 2022.

Hapag-Lloyd to launch WCSA Feeder 4

Hapag-Lloyd will launch a new West Coast South America Feeder 4/WCSA Feeder 4 (WS4) service that connects Peru and Chile. The WS4 service will start from 5 June 2023 and call at Callao, Iquique, Puerto Angamos, Arica, Callao with the 1,930 teu newbuilding CAPE BRUNO. The service will turn in 2 weeks, with a second ship to join the service later in June.

Zim repositions 6 Bangkokmax ships from Asia/Australia for new LTAM service

Zim is shifting out 6 Bangkok-max ship from its intra-Asia and Australia services for redeployment in the North America-South America ZIM Colibri XPress service. All 6 ships are being repositioned from Asia/Australia to South America and will begin their new employment at San Antonio in Chile. The launch of the new ZIM Colibri Xpress (ZCX) service connecting San Antonio, Callao, Guayaquil, Cartagena, Kingston, Philadelphia, Miami, Kingston, Buenaventura, Guayaqui, Callao, San Antonio has been delayed from March to April. ONE has introduced a new Callao-Arica link named as the Altiplano Service (ATS) starting from 6 February 2023. The service will ride on slots on X-Press Feeders' Chile Peru X-Press (CPX) that calls at Callao, Arica, Iquique, Callao that is operated on a weekly frequency with the 1,638 teu BALTIC PETREL.

CMA CGM will revamp its existing BRAZEX 1 and BRAZEX 2 services that connects the US Gulf Coast with the Caribbeans and Brazil. The NEW BRAZEX will start from 11 November and call at New Orleans, Houston, Veracruz, Kingston, Cartagena, Salvador, Santos, Navegantes, Paranagua, Santos, Rio de Janeiro, Cartagena, Kingston, New Orleans with 7 ships of 3,600-6,000 teu. CMA CGM, COSCO and OOCL will launch a new Far East-West Coast South America service from the end of June 2022 calling at Hong Kong, Shekou, Ningbo, Shanghai, Manzanillo, Puerto Quetzal, San Antonio, Hong Kong. The service will turn in 10 weeks, using 5 ships of 3,300 teu to 5,090 teu on a fortnightly frequency with 3 ships from CMA CGM and 2 ships from COSCO. Maersk, Hapag-Lloyd, ONE start cooperation on US West Coast-Central America trade

Maersk, Hapag-Lloyd and ONE will cooperate on the US West Coast-Central America route through a joint service arrangement on 2 existing services starting from the end of June 2022.
