KMTC and Namsung will introduce a new service that connects Busan with the west coast of Japan and Hokkaido in October. The new service is called Japan Shuttle 1 (JPS1) by KMTC and Busan Japan Shuttle (BJS) by Namsung starting on 8 October 2023 at Busan with the 1,000 teu SUNNY VIOLET and 1,003 teu STAR VOYAGER to follow a week later. The service will run on 14-day rotation calling Busan, Hakata, Kanazawa, Kushiro, Tomakomai, Ishikari, Akita, Busan.
ONE, Namsung, TS Lines and SITC are joining hands to launch a new Korea China Indonesia (KCI) service calling at Busan, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Jakarta, Surabaya, Shekou, Xiamen, Busan from 10 October 2023. The KCI service will turn in 28 days using 4 ships of 2,400-3,000 teu. Each of the 4 partners will provide 1 ship each on the service, starting with the 2,954 teu TS MUNDRA at Busan on 10 October, to be followed by the 2,433 teu SITC MINGCHENG, 2,741 teu LORRAINE and 2,556 teu STARSHIP N
TS Lines will join Maersk/Sealand Asia on the new IA-10 service that calls at Taichung, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Shekou, Sihanoukville, Bangkok, Laem Chabang, Ho Chi Minh City, Batangas, Manila (North), Taichung. The service turns in 21 days using 3 ships with TS Lines adding the 1,808 teu TS BANGKOK to the service from 20 August 2023, joining the 1,774 teu NORDMAAS and 1,781 teu HELGOLAND from Maersk.
Evergreen will launch a new Thailand-Vietnam-Philippine (TVP) service from 25 September 2023. The service will turn in 28 days using 4 ships of 1,900 teu and call at Hong Kong, Shekou, Nansha, Ho Chi Minh City, Laem Chabang, Haiphong, Kaohsiung, Manila (North Port), Subic Bay, Hong Kong. The 4 ships to be deployed on the initial cycle are the 1,930 teu KANWAY LUCKY and the 1,984 teu trio EVER CLEAR, EVER COPE and EVER CORE. Evergreen TVP service
Sealand Asia (Maersk) and TS Lines will add a northbound call at Qinzhou on their jointly operated NV2 service starting from 2 August 2023. The revised NV2 will retain a 14 day rotation and call at Ningbo, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Haiphong, Qinzhou (new), Hong Kong, Ningbo. The service currently deploys 2 ships of 1,000-1,200 teu with Sealand and TSL each contributing one ship.
ONE will launch a new Thai Hakata Express (THX) service from 10 August 2023 through slots on the existing SITC/Jinjiang Shipping (JJS) Vietnam Thailand Express 5 / China Thailand Express 2 (VTX5/CTX2) service. The service calls at Lianyungang, Qingdao, Laem Chabang, Bangkok, Laem Chabang, Ho Chi Minh City, Nansha, Hakata, Osaka, Kobe, Busan, Lianyungang but ONE's THX will be limited to the northbound connections calling at Bangkok, Laem Chabang, Ho Chi Minh City, Nansha, Hakata, Osaka, Kobe.
Sealand Asia, the intra-Asia regional carrier of Maersk, will launch a new weekly IA11 service connecting Taiwan, East China and Vietnam in August. The IA11 service turns in 2 weeks and will call at Shanghai, Ningbo, Kaohsiung, Ho Chi Minh City, Kaohsiung, Shanghai from 19 August 2023 with the 1,060 teu PADIAN 2 and followed a week later by the 1,114 teu CONTSHIP WAY at Shanghai. RCL and CUL have added a new call at Sihanoukville on their jointly operated RBC1/BC1 (RCL Bangkok China 1/China-Thailand Service 1) service. The revised rotation of the RBC1/BC1 will be Ningbo, Shanghai, Sihanoukville, Bangkok, Laem Chabang, Ho Chi Minh City, Ningbo starting from 10 August 2023. The service turns in 3 weeks, and currently deploys 2 ships of 1,200-1,500 from RCL and one 1,930 teu ship from CUL.
Malaysian carrier Harbour Link has added a new link connecting Qinzhou in Guangxi to its Hong Kong Malaysia Express (HMX) service from 11 July 2023. The Qingzhou call will initially be made monthly on the HMX that deploys the 735 teu HARBOUR STAR and HARBOUR HORIZON. The HMX service operates on a 14 day turnaround to call weekly at Hong Kong, Nansha, Kota Kinabalu, Muara, Bintulu, Qinzhou (monthly call), Hong Kong
Wan Hai's Japan Korea Haiphong (JKH) service will be withdrawn with the last sailing by the 1,510 teu WAN HAI 281 that will end at Shekou on 2 July 2023. The service deployed 3 ships of 1,500-1,800 teu on a 21 days round trip that called at Moji, Hakata, Ulsan, Busan, Kwangyang, Keelung, Kaohsiung, Nansha, Haiphong, Qinzhou, Hong Kong, Shekou, Xiamen, Moji.
