Hapag-Lloyd will introduce a new shuttle service for Red Sea cargo connections calling at Tanger, Damietta, Jeddah, Tanger from 19 January 2024 using the 4,252 teu SEASPAN HAMBURG. The service will turn on a 10-12 day frequency initially with feeder connections offered at Jeddah to Aqaba and Port Sudan. The temporary solution will replace current connections to the Red Sea that have been affected by vessel diversions to the Cape route.
Hapag-Lloyd has added a new Thailand Singapore Express (TSX) service from 13 November 2023 calling at Laem Chabang, Singapore, Laem Chabang with the 2,783 teu ATHENA. Hapag-Lloyd will receive next month the first of 9 ships of 14,372 teu that it has chartered from SFL and Enesel for 5 year periods in the first benchmark fixture for ships of this size following the expiry of their initial 10 year charter to Evergreen.
