The easing port congestion and a pick up in the number of new ships being
delivered has brough the active fleet back above 17m teu for the first time in
12 months.
More ships have also entered drydock including ships undergoing scrubber
retrofits.
Further increases are forthcoming, with new deliveries picking up pace while
port congestion continues to ease over the coming 3 months.
The number of idle ships has increased to 42 ships for 121,031 teu without
employment as at 9 September 2022.
